MJO Teleconnections
Tropical-extratropical atmospheric teleconnections on sub-seasonal and seasonal timescales (an InterDec project)I am currently looking at the ENSO modulation of teleconnections between the MJO and the North Atlantic-European region on subseasonal timescales. I will next look at these teleconnections in the S2S forecast model database.
This project is in collaboration with Dr Steve Woolnough and Dr Andrew Charlton-Perez at the University of Reading and Dr Frederic Vitart at the European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting (ECMWF). This project is part of a wider international project, called InterDec: The potential of seasonal-to-decadal-scale inter-regional linkages to advance climate predictions.
