Aqua-planet SST and sea-ice

Neale and Hoskins specify various different SST distributions for testing the tropical response of an aqua-planet model. All of these fields are included in the ancillary tar file.

The UM requires a sea-ice ancillary even if no sea-ice is to be included.

The names of the SST files in the tar file correspond to the names of the experiments in the Neale and Hoskins paper, with .sst extensions. In addition there is also a zonally symmetric SST distribution with maximum values and meridional gradients which mimic the SST in the West Pacific Warm Pool in March. This file is called aqua_warm_pool.sst.

The sea-ice file provided in the tar file is called aqua.ice
