DACCIWA

The Dynamics-aerosol-chemistry-cloud interactions in West Africa (DACCIWA) project wa a large multinational project with partners in Germany, France, UK, Switzerland, Ghana and Nigeria. DACCIWA aimed to improve understanding of the links between emissions, clouds, aerosols, radiation and the West African Monsoon. For further details see the Bulletins of the American Meteorological Society article.

Within the DACCIWA project, I worked with Prof. Christine Chiu and Prof. Richard Allan at the University of Reading. My research focused on satellite observations of the region and cloud radiative effects. I also provided expertise on satellite observations to colleagues and led flights as part of the DACCIWA field campaign, leading to co-authorship of further publications.
