- Research Scientist in Dynamical Weather Processes
- I work for the Atmospheric Physics directorate of the National Centre for Atmospheric Science (NCAS-AP, previously called NCAS-Weather)
- My research interests include
- Extratropical storm tracks and blocking
- Climate variability and change
- Rossby wave dynamics
- Atmospheric predictability
Up until recently I worked as a PDRA on the TEMPEST project (Testing and Evaluating Model Predictions of European Storms) with Len Shaffrey and Tim Woollings looking at the responses of the extratropical storm tracks to climate change - see storm tracks.
I took my PhD supervised by Maarten Ambaum looking at the behaviour of quasi-geostrophic dynamics near horizontal boundaries - see surface QG dynamics.
