About Me

Outside work, I'm a keen cricket follower and former dubious player - That lead me, in conjunction with a friend and colleague to make a web based cricket game, "Stumped!" as a hobby, though we closed that down in autumn 2024.

I also enjoy road cycling (furiously) and occasionally attend regular velodrome sessions at Palmer Park Velodrome and previously rides with Reading University Road Cycling Club.
I'm a parkrunner, formerly a junior parkrun run director, but remain disappointed with the removal of the motivational statistics that used to be presented.
Most importantly here, I'm an unashamed geek! I love data and analysing it, I do it a bit in my spare time as well as for my job. Understanding and improving the world through data analysis is a real passion, and that lead to at least some of this website's existence.
