I am a Professor of Data Assimilation, with a joint position in the Departments of Mathematics & Statistics and Meteorology at the University of Reading. I am a member of the DARC Data Assimilation group.

My research interests lie in the area of data assimilation. I am currently an EPSRC Senior Fellow in Digital Technology for Living with Environmental Change, and a PI in the NERC Flooding from Intense Rainfall Programme. I currently have a reduced teaching load due to my research activities and part-time status, but still take a small role in teaching modules in Meteorology and Mathematics.
