Version 2 data DEEP-C data products (Updated files, 18th February 2016)
DEEP-C reconstructed top of atmosphere radiative energy fluxes and surface downward energy flux have been updated from Liu et al. (2015) to (i) use geodetic weighting which is required to accurately estimate the global and hemispheric energy imbalance and (ii) extend the time series from January 1985 to May 2015 using CERES Edition 2.8 data.
Top Of Atmosphere radiation products, Absorbed Solar Radiation (ASR), Outgoing Longwave Radiation (OLR) and Net downward (NET) are re-processed following the CERES method using geodetic weight
The reconstructed Top of Atmosphere (TOA) radiative fluxes can be downloaded here (nc files)
The geodetic zonal weight for our product resolution (256x512) can be found here.
Note: In out product (Liu et al. 2015), the surface mean flux over land is not zero.
Further details and additional links to the data are available here

CORRECTIONS:
1) The following correction was made on the 4th November 2014: In Table 2, footnote a and b should read: aUPSCALE means and standard deviation for 1986-2011 bAMIP5 means and standard deviation for 1985-2008
2) 12th March 2015: a minor error was identified where the CERES data at 0oE were not included in the interpolated when re-gridding. This has now been corrected (updated files below) although the effect on the results is very small and can be neglected.
Please note that we used CERES version EBAF-v2.7 and not v2.8 as stated in the
text of the uncorrected accepted version. Files below refer to CERES EBAF-v2.7
unless stated otherwise.
