Index Terms: 1616 Global Change: Climate variability (1635, 3305, 3309, 4215, 4513); 1626 Global Change: Global climate models (3337, 4928); 1640 Global Change: Remote sensing (1855, 4337); 1655 Global Change: Water cycles (1836); 9900 Corrections.
[1] In the paper “Co-variation of temperature and precipitation in CMIP5 models and satellite observations” by C. Liu et al. (Geophysical Research Letters, 39, L13803, doi:10.1029/2012GL052093, 2012), a few corrections need to be made. The second sentence in paragraph [11] should read: “The correlation coefficient is −0.20 for 1988–1995 and is 0.66 over 1996–2008.” In Table 2, the units of the ninth and eleventh columns should be (%/%). In the Figure 3 caption, the label (f) should appear as follows.
[2] Figure 3. Scatter plot of (a–c) P and T anomalies and (d, e) P anomalies over the land and the ocean from CMIP5/AMIP5 models and satellite-based observations and (f) between AMIP5 and observed P anomalies over tropical land. Plotted linear fits are solid where significant at the 95% confidence level.
