How should we measure success of locking?
Let
- Fn be the native field
- Fs be the sent field
Interesting stats for measuring locking
- The totals: ∑ Fn, ∑ FndV &
∑ Fndm
and ∑ Fs, ∑ FsdV & ∑ Fsdm
- We don't want the relevant total for Fn and
Fs being different, e.g. we don't want mass of a scalar field,
like ozone, increasing.
- A measure of difference, e.g.
∑ (Fn - Fs)2
