Introduction to UKESM (UK Earth System Model)

• The UKESM team is a collaboration between NERC and Met Office for CMIP6, CMIP7 and hopefully beyond
• 22 UKESM core staff
  • 8 Met Office staff
  • 14 NERC staff (Reading Uni, CEH, Leeds Uni, Plymouth Uni, Leicester Uni, BAS, Bristol Uni)
    • 6 NCAS Reading Uni staff (incl Till, Robin, Val & Ranjini)
      • 2 based at Met Office, Exeter (incl Steve Rumbold)
        • One NCAS-CMS: me (UKESM computational scientist, started June 2014)
• UKESM team have built an Earth System model for CMIP6
