What I'm doing: hybrid model

• It is known that core dynamics and convection benefit from hi-resolution (Jung et al, 2012, Tao and Chern, 2017)
• Less evidence that other science benefits so strongly from greater resolution
• Aerosol and chemistry science slow the UM by a factor of about 3 (200% slower)

• 50-70% faster than non-hybrid equivalent
• GA+StratTrop-hybrid N216 N96 compared well against GA+StratTrop N216
