Next big expected problem: divergence of Boundary Layers
between Snr and Jnr
- Any emission, sink or physical force applied to the bound
layer (BL) of
only one of the hybrid components, such as coupling ocean to Snr,
is expected to cause the state of Snr and Jnr BLs to diverge.
- It is not clear if both Snr and Jnr should have a BL? (We could
remove Jnr BL and pass input from Snr BL).
My method for muddling through problem
- Diagnose problem, i.e. which fields look to be diverging, this
may suggest the fields which require coupling
- See if equations suggest which fields to couple (in the same
way the dynamical core fields were chosen for Snr->Jnr coupling).
