The Five Test Cases
There's five test cases which have been used to test the model:
- Dry, neutral boundary layer with
backscatter.
- Bomex shallow cumulus.
- Fire stratocumulus.
- Toga-coare deep
convection.
- Cold air outbreak.
The test cases are obviously a good way for testing the model and
there often provide a starting point for new users - who can begin by
running a test case and then modify the test case for their needs.
Test case 4 is the only 2D test case - the others are all 3D - and
it's also the only test case to require a forcing file,
force...dat. It and test case 3 only the only test cases to use the
radiation code.
