“Big Data Assimilation”: Progress and Plans

In the previous ISDA in 2015, we presented the concept of the Japan’s Big Data Assimilation effort to bring “Big Data” revolution to high-resolution and super-rapid numerical weather prediction. The project started in October 2013, and we have been making consistent progress. This presentation will include the most up-to-date results and future plans by the time of the symposium.
