Regional Reanalysis at the Met Office, Looking Back going Forward (pdf) As part of the EU-funded EURO4M project, the Met Office has developed a regional reanalysis system, applying current NWP methods to old data. Results are shown from a 2-year run (2008-9). EURO4M is superseded by UERRA in which we will run a longer period (1978-present). A goal of UERRA is to provide uncertainty information alongside the reanalysis estimates. We describe how we intend to use an ensemble system to do this. |
