Maidenhead was much wetter than many stations in East Berkshire as we had several heavy falls of rain, 
which affected nearby Bucks and Oxon, but which missed much of the rest of the area to the south.
It was the second wettest August locally since 1860.

A cold month (the coldest December since 1996) and dry. The most notable features 
were the frequent night frosts and the abundant sunshine. It was the sunniest 
December in Maidenhead for over 48 years.
