Method reminder
- Add any new observations or corrections in the left-hand column below.
- After making any changes in this column run the quality control option at the foot of the page.
- If the QC comments (shown in red in the right hand column) suggest a change is required then
make it
to the left hand column and re-run the quality control
- Repeat step 3 as often as required until
- you are happy to ignore any remaining QC comments , and
- you have entered all your observations, and (hopefully)...
- ...the phrase NOTE: 0 errors detected above appears towards the end of this page
- Then you can use the Add new/corrected data into the database option to do just that.
Note that the QC should:
- reject any extreme values deemed to be widely erroneous, eg. air temperature of 50C or rainfall
of 300 mm
- flag any values close to or exceeding climatological values for the month
- flag inconsistencies - eg. dry bulb > maximum temperature
