NERC FREE (Flood Risk from Extreme Events) Ensemble Workshop

Many of the projects funded under the FREE programme are investigating the propagation of uncertainty through complex coupled meteorological, hydrological and coastal models. In many cases, ensemble methods are being used to take account of this uncertainty. There are a number of common issues that must be considered when designing and evaluating ensemble prediction systems. The workshop will address these issues, and be structured around keynote presentations and break-out groups, with a poster session to allow attendees to present their work.
