Research InterestsMy research interests lie at the interface between Analysis, Dynamical Systems and Probability Theory and Statistics on one side and applications to Weather, Climate, and Oceans on the other side. I am developing both methods on a rigorous mathematical basis as well as software for practical applications. Particular research interests are currently

Mainly occupied with the DIME project. Objectives: to determine and enhance the economic value of wheather forecasts. Summer 2003: Department of Electrical Engineering, Univeristy of Mining and Metallurgy, Krakow, Poland. PhD from University of Göttingen in April 2003.
