Mesoscale Group

About us

The Mesoscale Group is comprised of academic staff, postdoctoral researchers, PhD students and Met Office researchers who share a common interest in weather processes and systems. We meet weekly to informally present and discuss our ongoing research or other research of interest. We have diverse research interests ranging theoretical aspects of convection to the transport of pollutants within midlatitude cyclones. The Mesoscale Group interacts closely with Met Office staff in the Met Office Mesoscale Modelling Research Group, part of the MetOffice@Reading. Several members of the group are also funded by NCAS-Weather.
