Following each match the winning player takes the lower number and the loser takes the higher number in the next round, e.g. if player 32 beats player 1 in round 1, he or she becomes player 1 in round 2 while player 1 becomes player 32 in round 2.

The winner is the person who finishes at 1. Players finishing at 2, 3, 5, 9 and 17 are also worth a mention as they can only of lost one game to get there.
