I’m sure you’re all excited it’s this time of year again! This year we have taken the decision to host a hybrid panto. We are pre-filming the panto and will be screening it in the Madejski lecture theatre as well as sharing it via zoom. So you can watch it and join in however is most comfortable for you and your family. Here is the trailer that should have been shown in WCD today (thanks Tom and Javier 😉):

The panto this year is on 9th December, starting at 7:30pm. For those of you attending in-person, the doors to the Madejski lecture theatre will open at 7pm. Due to restrictions on capacity, we will be selling 120 tickets total for the in-person panto. 60 of these tickets are just for admission to the panto, and the other 60 will include snacks (mince pies, individually wrapped food items etc) and drinks beforehand in the Met coffee room at 6:30pm as well as the always fun after-party. We can only offer small snacks and treats (covid regulations mean that we should not be sharing food) so please bring along your own dinner food if you need something more substantial. Unfortunately, we can only have 60 people in the Met coffee room, so if you have a performance-only ticket, then we kindly ask that you respect the capacity limit as we cannot cater for everyone (i.e. eat at home before the panto). We will be selling tickets from Monday 22nd November:
Panto and food: £5 adults, £2 kids
Panto only: £2 adults, kids go free
Virtual: No ticket needed (voluntary donations to the David Grimes Trust)
Tickets will be sold in the Met coffee room at lunchtimes, or in 1U08 from Natalie Ratcliffe and Charlie Suitters at other times. Alternatively, you can pay by bank transfer if you email one of the panto organising committee (we will send out more details about this on Monday) - please email us so that we can confirm your ticket(s) before you send any money.
