Subject: Met Pantos Past From: John Methven Date: Tue, 17 Dec 2013 15:10:07 +0000 To: Dan Hodson Hi Dan, Doug Parker has come up trumps with the actual script for the first Met panto (attached) and the PV song (in their original latex format). I think you had to be there to understand it! It was a legendary evening, featuring real guests such as Michael McIntyre who asked John Thuburn whether he had written the tune to the PV song. We had to explain that the Beatles were a modern pop combo and only the words were changed. After asking Doug, Mat Collins, Jon Petch, Stu Webster, Ian Renfrew and several people here, we have all drawn a blank on 1993/1994. Mat suggested that we may not have had a panto at all, but various "interval acts" rolled into one followed by the party. There is no doubt that the party was much higher priority than the panto in those days - all in Foxhill House. Blah Trek was definitely in Foxhill House and I think we moved location for Live and Met Die. Best wishes, John
