Technical reports

2011 GLOBICE (II)- technical report: Product validation report. The job consisted in the validation and statistical analysis assessment of the newly acquired GLOBICE dataset: ice motion data were validated against lagrangian buoys data from the IABP project and ice concentration data were compared to SSMI data and CICE model outputs.

2010 GLOBICE (I) - technical report: Preliminary Validation & Assessment Report. The job consisted in a preliminary assessment of the newly acquired GLOBICE dataset. Deformation products were compared against model results while ice concentration data were validated against SSMI sea ice concentration.

Responsibilities


  • Improvement and understanding of the physics of melt ponds in the CICE code
  • Internal wave drag implementation in the CICE code.
  • Improvement of the form drag parameterization in CICE through the use of ice topography data.
