Prerequisites

Good knowledge of physics and mathematics are required for the MSc courses in Meteorology. While many students will have used mathematics and physics in their undergraduate degrees, there may be some areas of knowledge and techniques that have been forgotten since study at A level.

Here is a full list of prerequisites.

English language

Applicants whose first language is not English may be required to demonstrate their evidence of proficiency in English with IELTs or alternative English language qualifications. Applicants will be notified as required. If your ‘conditional’ offer letter requires you to demonstrate your English language proficiency; make sure that you review this list of Acceptable English Language Tests as you may already hold other qualifications that the university would accept in place of an additional English language test.

UK Visa

If you are a national of a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, you will generally need to obtain a visa to study in the UK. See also the UK Visas website.
